As one of the largest art galleries in the Danish region of South Jutland (Sønderjylland) Nexus Art Gallery exhibits and sells works of art from acknowledged artists from both Denmark and abroad.
The portfolio of the gallery represents a blend of international and Danish art. The gallery has both a contemporary as well as a modern and a classical department. Also the gallery has the most versatile collection found anywhere when it comes to modern art and old masters from the region of South Jutland.
The gallery was founded 2007 by gallery owner and art dealer Kent Lauritsen. The gallery is situated in the village of Uge - near the town of Aabenraa and 15 kilometers north of the Danish - German border.
The word "Nexus" derives from Latin and means 'connection' or 'link' and does not only refer to fact that the galley is situated near ancient cross-roads but emphasizes the gallery's ambition of being a place where people and quality art meet and connect.
